If you are looking for that extra special Valentines gift for your boyfriend
or husband, a gift that will linger in their memory for ever, why not take a
look at a Driving Experience.
With many of the cars costing around one hundred thousand pounds and some
costing far in excess, this really is a once in a lifetime opportunity for your
boyfriend or husband to get behind the wheel of a real supercar, racing car, or
even a real Formula 1 racing car.
Listed Below are six cars they can choose to drive when you get them a
driving experience gift for Valentines Day:
A firm favourite with many Premiership footballers, the Gallardo is an
astounding piece of Italian engineering. Powered by a 5 litre V10 producing 500
brake horsepower the Gallardo accelerates from 0 - 60 in just 4.2 seconds and
can reach a mind blowing top speed of 196 mph.
Audi took a long time to enter the supercar market, but it was well worth the
wait. Launched with superb plaudits from the press and a gushing endorsement
from Jeremy Clarkson autel
maxidas ds808, the R8 is a masterpiece of German engineering. With a top
speed of 187 mph, the R8 sticks to the track like glue, giving the driver a
confidence that just can't be found with other supercars.
Chevrolet Lumina V8 Touring Car
If it's raw, brutal power you are looking for then look no further than an
Australian V8 Touring car. Widely regarded as the world's most spectacular
touring car series, these Aussie beasts can get up to 160 mph and with no
traction control and rear wheel drive it's up to the driver to keep the beast
Ferrari 360 Modena
The Ferrari 360 Modena is for many people, everything a supercar should be,
stunningly good looking with performance to match. With a 0 - 60 time of 4.3
seconds and a top speed of 183 mph the Ferrari will leave him grinning from ear
to ear for days to come
The Ariel Atom may not have the largest engine, or indeed have the fastest
top speed, but with no doors, no roof and very few body panels it will out
accelerate all of them. With a 0 - 60 time of only 2.7 seconds the Atom really
is a pocket rocket, just a little bit crazy and certainly a lot of fun, this is
an experience that is impossible to forget.
Italian Forte Corsa 3 Litre Nicholson Mclaren Cosworth V8 Formula One Car
Once driven by Luca Badoer, the current Ferrari test driver, this really is
the daddy of all driving experiences. This is a full day driving experience
where the recipient gets to drive a sports saloon to learn the racing lines,
then a Porsche 911 Turbo, a Ferrari 360 Modena, a single seater racing car, a
Formula 3 car then finally the awesome F1 car. If your boyfriend is the ultimate
petrol head, then this experience is just perfect for him.
If you are looking for a Valentine gift that your husband or boyfriend will
never forget, then look no further than a supercar driving experience, memories
that will live forever.Dave Foord is the content writer for a number of
websites including the Racing School. has been offering driving experiences
since 1978 and specialises in Formula 1 driving experiences.
A digital multimeter is one the most versatile and useful instruments in your
auto shop. It is important to own a good model and understand how to use it
properly. A digital multimeter is actually three devices in one. It is a
voltmeter that measure electrical potential across a device in volts. It is an
ammeter that measures the amount of electric current through a device. This is
measured in amps. Finally, a digital multimeter is an ohmmeter that measures
electrical resistance of a device. Electrical resistance is measured in
Today, modern digital multimeters are designed to be rugged and easy to
operate. A good multimeter will have a rugged plastic case and large, easy to
use selector knobs. The top part contains the digital read out screen. This is
something you should thoroughly check out before you purchase one. Make sure the
screen is large enough to read it and make sure you see the readout in sunlight.
Chances are you will be using this instrument outside in direct sunlight.
Below the digital readout is a large knob called the function switch. The
function switch allows you to change the modes the digital multimeter operates
in. For example, you can easily change from voltmeter to ammeter to ohmmeter
with the turn of the dial. Again make sure the function switch is large and easy
to operate Autel
MaxiPRO MP808TS. Most function switches have approximately eight positions.
Most have three V markings that measure voltage. They measure AC, DC and low
voltage currents in the millivolt range. Next there will be two positions marked
with A~ and A=. The A~ measures AC current in amps and the A= measures DC
current in amps. The upside down horseshoe Ω measures resistance in ohms.
In order to measure voltage, first turn on the digital multimeter and let it
go through its startup procedure. Generally the digital readout lights up and
the unit goes through its self diagnostic checkout. Once that is completed you
are ready to measure volts. Now turn the function switch to V= to measure DC
volts. Now you will need to connect the red and black leads to the digital
multimeter. Connect the red lead to the red input terminal labeled VΩ and
connect the black lead to the terminal labeled COM for common terminal. Now you
can measure volts by putting the red lead on the terminal with the higher
potential and the black lead on the lower one.
To measure amps, the leads must be connected in a different fashion. First
set the function switch to A= position. Connect the black lead to the COM
terminal. Now you must connect the red lead to the terminal labeled 300mA. Now
you are ready to connect the meter in series the device being measured by
opening up the circuit and inserting the meter between the open points. The
results will be in milliamps because you are using the 300mA terminal.
The third feature of a digital multimeter is its ability to measure to Ohms.
Ohms is a measurement of resistance in an electrical circuit. First disconnect
all wiring and power sources from the device being measured. Now turn the
function switch to the Ω position and connect your leads. The red lead is
connected to the terminal labeled VΩ and the black terminal connects to the COM
terminal. The display will indicate OL. This is normal and means there is an
overload. Now connect the leads across the device to measure the Ohms Autel
These are the basic functions of a digital multimeter. Remember to shut off
your multimeter before storing it back in the your toolbox. You do not want a
drained battery the next time you will need it. There are several good brands on
the market today. Fluke digital multimeters are probably the most popular and
you won't go wrong with one.Cooper is the webmaster for Red Hill Supply -
We'd all like to buy a new car straight off the production line, but
unfortunately that just isn't always an option. It can be costly and difficult
to finance a brand new car, and if you take out loans or pay in instalments Autel
MaxiCOM MK808, you'll have the added problem of interest. Buying used can be
a much cheaper option, and you can find some great cars on the market,
especially if you're looking for a Used Volkswagen.
When it comes to buying a Used Volkswagen, there are endless options
available. Whether you're after a small city run around or a large family
estate, you're bound to find something which is in top condition and offers
great value for money. There are several places to start looking for your Used
Volkswagen. Individual sellers can be cheaper than dealers Autel
MaxiTPMS PAD, but bear in mind that they can't give the same grantees that
an approved dealer can. Not all individuals are reliable, and it's best to get
the car and its history checked out by a third party.
Another way to pick-up some great deals is by buying from auction, which can
be more reliable than going through an individual, although it's unlikely you'll
be able to take your Used Volkswagen for a test spin before buying.
One of the best ways to buy a Used Volkswagen is through an approved Used
Volkswagen dealer. Not only are they reputable and reliable, but they also offer
a large range of cars to choose from, so you can be sure that the Used
Volkswagen you drive away in is the perfect one for you.
Buying a Used Volkswagen from an official dealer means you're getting a car
which is reliable and in a good working condition. Volkswagen inspect all cars
and fix any problems found before selling them, which means you shouldn't be
landed with any costly repairs after you sign. The Volkswagen team will also
check the car's history and mileage, so you won't receive any nasty surprises.
Not only that, but you can feel reassured by the warranty that comes with your
vehicle, just in case any problems do occur.
Volkswagens are renowned for their build quality and reliability, and Used
Volkswagens aren't any different. They might not come with that new car smell,
but they certainly come with everything else you would expect from a Volkswagen,
at only a fraction of the price.
Buying a Used Volkswagen is a great investment for the future, and with so
much choice, you'll wonder why you ever wanted to buy new in the first
I personally have owned and driven a Used Volkswagen for a year or so now, so
I can attest to the kind of quality and driveability that you get when you are
handed the keys to one of these marvellous machines. With their robustness,
sporty qualities and the other myriad of positive qualities, you can plainly see
why they are so popular with the car buying public.Pete J Ridgard is a

The new Phantom's have been described by Rolls-Royce as their car for the
21st Century. The name has been around since the early 20th century, having two
series in Rolls 100 year history, but now they have updated the series for a
modern market. Whether you're a fan of the brand or not, you can't help but
admire the cars they produce. The Phantom's have several types which cater to
certain purposes; the Phantom, Phantom Family, Phantom Coupe, and the Drop Head
MaxiSys MS906TS, each similar but all different. The Phantom Coupe for
example is driver orientated, with all the classic proportions you would expect
of a classic Rolls-Royce, which concentrates on giving the driver a pure Royce
experience, whereas the Drop head Coupe is a more relaxed interpretation of the
classic design Autel
21st Century hasn't been taken to the extreme though, and Rolls-Royce still
takes inspiration from the 20th Century. The Drophead Coupe pays homage to the
classic J racing yachts of the 1930s, but Rolls has updated it for a motoring
audience of today. In fact, the entire Phantom series is noticeable not just
from the shapes, but from the coach doors.
You don't have to watch from afar to appreciate the cars, and you don't have
to buy a Rolls Royce brand new to get to experience them first hand.
Used Rolls-Royce of all ages are available from all good online dealers, with
the price dropping from its original price by around 65 percent within three
years of being released. A Phantom for example, after three years can be
obtained online for just £100,000 - £250,000. Although by any average standards
this is not a cheap buy, it's a slashed price by half from their debut prices,
and considering the history and reputation of the company behind them. Luxury
isn't just a myth, it's a guarantee. The difference between a used Phantom and
other models being sold used is that the quality isn't lost over time.
Some may not appreciate the shape of the cars. If you are for example not a
fan of the classic design; short front overhang, long rear overhang and other
familiar proportions, maybe because you prefer smaller and more rounded cars
then this series may not be for you; they really have stayed true to their
routes. But in terms of quality, most cars will begin to deteriorate within
years of being bought, but when put together with as much care as they do at
Rolls Royce, they are like new even if they have a large mileage, so long as
they are looked after properly. Phantom over the years has been Rolls Royce main
product, but this series of the iconic name is the first attempt at Phantom
since they were taken over by BMW in 2003. The first Phantom wasn't as popular
as later phantoms but it is still an amazing car. Buying a used car from the
Phantom series, you can guarantee they will be in expected luxurious
condition.Pete J Ridgard is a writer and a car enthusiast. He currently

With the current high cost of fuel, the gloomy economic future not to mention
the whole global warming thing a used 4x4 might not be uppermost on your mind
right now. The good news however is if for whatever reason you were thinking of
buying one there are some absolute bargains to be had out there in the somewhat
depressed world of the used 4x4.
When Ford introduced the Explorer to the UK in 1997 it must have been pretty
confident that it would secure healthy sales. Not only was the car the world's
bestselling 4x4 at the time but the market for luxury SUVs was positively
booming especially in the UK.
However, some UK buyers were put off by the £25,000 price tag and rather
heavy fuel consumption and as a result sales were rather disappointing to the
extent that just four years later Ford stopped selling the Explorer in
A few years on and the demand for 4x4s has plummeted, but if you are in the
market for a large luxurious vehicle then a used Ford Explorer has much to
The Explorer was only available with one engine, a 4 litre V6 petrol unit
producing a hefty 208hp which was more than enough to power the 2,000kg vehicle
from 0-60mph in less than 10seconds and on to a top speed of 100mph. The slight
downside to that is that it does less than 20mpg which is not terribly
The Explorer's main market has traditionally been America which again until
recently would not have been the slightest bit bothered by such a thirst for
fuel. As a result the US influenced styling is fairly evident in the round front
end and generous seats. Rear legroom is on the tight side if the front seats are
pushed right back but there is no shortage of shoulder room thanks to the
vehicle's 6ft 5in width Autel
In terms of load carrying the Explorer is pretty hard to beat. There is a
useful split rear tailgate that opens separately, similar to that on the Range
Rover, which makes loading and unloading easy, and there's also a step built
into the rear bumper that makes lifting luggage onto the roof bars fairly
With a towing capacity of more than 2,500kg it will easily handle a standard
caravan, trailer or horse box. Boot space is generous, and although the high
ground clearance can make the leap a bit challenging for small or old dogs the
optional rear dog guard is ideal for keeping man's best friend safely
American buyers always demand a high level of standard equipment on their
cars and UK buyers benefit from this. All models come with air-conditioning,
cruise control, twin airbags, factory sunroof and remote central locking as
standard and the XLT model has the addition of leather upholstery and heated
front seats with electric adjustment.
On road the Ford Explorer is a surprisingly decent drive, and despite its
size and weight generates fairly minimal body roll. The slightly dated rear leaf
springs soak up bumps quite well and the robust traditional chassis gives the
vehicle a strong feel, while nicely weighted power steering gives a reassuring
Off road, Ford's "Control Trac" 4x4 system, switches automatically from
rear-wheel drive to all-wheel drive as required, while a dash mounted switch
allows you to select between high and low gear ratios when conditions require
With used prices now being so good the Ford Explorer is certainly a bargain
alternative to the usual contenders from Mitsubishi, Land Rover and Jeep, but as
with all older cars you will need to check the vehicle over carefully.
Spare parts are still easy to find at Ford dealers but they can be expensive,
for example front wishbone ball joints are not cheap to replace, and be wary of
dirty oil, which can often signal a block in the oil feed on the timing chain
tensioner. Repairing this will result in a large bill. As with all older
vehicles, items such as air-conditioning and electric seat motors need to be
checked for performance.
The Ford Explorer may have received a lukewarm reception from British buyers
when it was first launched but if you are looking for a big Autel
MaxiTPMS PAD, comfortable, reasonably priced and well equipped 4x4 it
certainly deserves a second look. The Ford Explorer is a used 4x4 bargain at
the moment as Jon Barlow discovers at Used Ford.
